Welcome to BLAM'S MARVELOUS MINIATURES MONDAY!!!! So here are some of the amazing members that keep me doing things like gluing my fingers together. You all inspire me to get better and better!!! THANK YOU ALL!
The dust has settled and the crowd’s bloodlust has been satiated! Twelve challengers entered the arena, but only one was victorious! What an amazing showing this month, with loads of fantastic entries of all sorts, giving new meaning to the word “gladiator!” Be sure to watch until the very end to see who managed to earn the favour of the Emperor and their freedom.
Hi guys, welcome to a step-by-step painting tutorial for the Imperial Japanese Army of WW2. This guide and the techniques within are designed to get your Japanese army painted quickly, but also 'pop' on the tabletop. The two pronged attack of using a coloured spray primer and Army Painter’s Quickshade product will mean that you win that battle against your lead pile that all of us time poor hobbyists face.
This Empire of Dust army for Kings of War is easily one of my favourites, it was easy and fun to paint and has character oozing out of it, well it would have if it had any actual bio mass apart from bone!..
Han Solo joins Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker as Rebel forces fight to prevent Darth Vader from claiming control of an abandoned Separatist Battle Droid production facility on the planet of Geonosis. Another awesome Battle Report from Michael of War Corgi…Enjoy!
Welcome ladies and gentlegerms! We’re fast approaching the holidays and that means that there are a good number of you still shopping for hobby related gifts (read: looking at all of the new upcoming goodies and wondering if they’ll be under the tree for you!) I myself have been ogling, pondering, and planning new painting projects; curious to see what those are? Look no further, it’s time for another Wishlist Wednesday!
What up Ladies and Germs!!!!! It is another Monday and we are getting closer and closer to Christmas.... yay... :) Anyway, enough about me, let's get to what we are all here for... BLAM'S MARVELOUS MINIATURES MONDAY!!!!
It’s been a while since my last ‘Why I want to know more’ article as to be honest I wait and see what enthuses me before I write one, but this weekend I spotted Easy Dungeon coming up on Kickstarter and I just had to write about it.
Hullo one and all! It’s been an especially long work week, and somehow it’s only half way over! On the bright side, that means the weekend is on the horizon and it’s time again for my favorite article on the site, another Wishlist Wednesday! So let’s push start this car downhill and see where the road leads!
Today, Tyler builds the MDF cottage, townhouse, and barn from War World Gaming's Medieval Town set. Great for historical and fantasy games, so stay tuned for some battle reports coming out soon that will feature these buildings!
It’s time for another of…BLAM'S MARVELOUS MINIATURES MONDAY!!!! There is so much amazing work on here, it really is hard to not just "copy all" and call it a day, but what kind of host would I be if I did that? :)
One of my army projects this year has been a platoon of German Waffen SS for Second World War gaming. These troops may have been rather unsavory characters but they make great subjects for painting minis with their distinctive camouflage and featured in most major battles, so are a useful force to have in your collection for gaming. In this step by step painting guide I will be covering how to paint these troops in their autumn/winter uniform and gear.
This week I talk to Dave Munro about why he loves Konflikt '47. You’ll hear more about the game, its rules, and its genre in the show but a snapshot is that it is a weird world war 2 tabletop game but warlord games.
Now that the feasting has ended and the wallets have had a chance to cool off after the madness of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, it’s time once again for my favorite article of the week. In the pantheon of named days, it stands above the rest. Yes, it’s time for another Wishlist Wednesday! So let’s see what new miniature fixations I’ve got to share with you all!
This week I talk to Marcin from Awaken Realms. Awaken Realms create board games that feature great minis. I was first aware of Awaken Realms through their This War of Mine board game that I played around a year ago. It is a really deep and immersive game that is thought provoking and has a very serious subject area but never the less it is engaging and interesting.
Join Travis and Steve in the Battle of the Dragoons! Newly arrived Captain Tallmadge and his Continental Dragoons face off against the dastardly Lt. George Ramsbottom for best dragoon commander bragging rights!
Welcome to another step by step painting guide, this time for German panzers of the Afrika Korps in the Second World War. I’ll be trying to recreate the iconic desert tanks for the gaming tabletop, not a scale model for display. This guide employs basic techniques using acrylic paints with no airbrush required.
A few weeks ago, Mike Schaefer posted two battle reports (featuring Middle Earth Strategy Battle Game and Konflikt '47) without much of a self-introduction. He was testing the ability to copy-and-paste a blog post, so didn't offer much of a lead-in. Here is a new post fro Mike to remedy that.
